Cellar Dweller (1988) is a horror film directed by John Carl Buechler. The story follows a young comic book artist, Whitney Taylor, who enrolls at an art institute housed in the same building where, decades earlier, her idol—a famed horror illustrator—was mysteriously killed. Unbeknownst to her, his monstrous creation, the Cellar Dweller, still lurks in the basement. When Whitney unknowingly reawakens the beast through her drawings, it begins terrorizing the students and staff, bringing their worst nightmares to life. As the body count rises, Whitney must find a way to stop the creature before it consumes her as well.
